Lagos Government Releases Results of Coronavirus Test on Three Suspects

The Lagos State Government has officially announced the results of the three suspected carriers of the coronavirus in Nigeria, and fortunately for Nigeria, they all tested negative.

They were suspected of having the coronavirus after having contact with the Italian who introduced the virus to Nigeria.

The unidentified suspected coronavirus patient was thus declared free of the virus and could continue with their normal activities.

The Lagos state commissioner for health, Professor Akin Abayomi tweeted the results which sent smiles to every Nigerian face and satisfaction to the hearts of many. In the tweet, he wrote: “All the three #COVID19 suspected cases; travelers from France, England, and China whose samples were collected yesterday for analysis have been tested negative and they have been discharged.”
So far, there has been only one confirmed coronavirus case in Nigeria, with no Nigerian currently carrying the virus within the shores of the country.

While speaking on the reason why the coronavirus is reluctant to spread in African countries, experts suggest that the hot climate may be too unconducive for the virus to propagate.
